Mr. Hinton is in his 10th year with Corsicana ISD. During his time in Corsicana, Mr. Hinton has served as Director of the 6th Grade Band, Director of the CMS Non-Varsity Band, and most recently Director of Bands for CISD. In his time with Corsicana, Mr. Hinton has received numerous Superior and Excellent ratings in Marching, Concert, and Sight-Reading.
Mr. Hinton has a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Music in Education from the University of North Texas. While at the University of North Texas, Mr. Hinton studied clarinet with Deborah Fabian and performed in the Green Brigade/Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Enrico Williams. Mr. Hinton holds professional affiliations with TMEA, TBA, and CEDFA. Mr. Hinton is also a life-long member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (Gamma Theta Chapter).
During his free time, Mr. Hinton enjoys spending time with his partner, Stephanie, and his 4 cats (Clank, Arlo, and Mako), German Shepherd (Vari), and Cockatiel (Rocky). In his free time, Mr. Hinton enjoys playing videos games, Magic the Gathering, and binge watching TV.
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Nathan Williams is a Brass specialist, educator, and conductor. In 2024, Mr. Williams joined Corsicana High School as an assistant band director. He is in his second year of teaching.
Mr. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of North Texas with an emphasis in trombone studies. He trained under both Mr. Grant Futch, and Mr. Tyler Coffman. He also had the honor of working closely with Dr. Tony Baker and Dr. Natalie Mannix. At UNT, Mr. Williams was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, University Band, Green Brigade Marching Band, Trombone Choir, and more. Mr. Williams also performed avidly as a trombone soloist. In 2022, Mr. Williams performed in the Green Brigade Marching Band Showcase at the TMEA All State Marching Band competition in San Antonio, Texas.
Mr. Williams continues to be an active freelance trombonist, and is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Association of Texas Professional Educators. When Mr. Williams is not at work, he likes to spend time with his family, workout, read, and play video games.
Mr. Belew is in his 8th year with Corsicana ISD, and 14th year in education. During his time in Corsicana, Mr. Belew has served as the percussion director and assisted with every performing ensemble.
Mr. Belew has a Master of Music degree and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Northwestern State University. While at NSU, Mr. Belew studied percussion with Ken Green, and performed in the best soundin’ band in the land, the Spirit of Northwestern. He also performed with the Natchitoches/Northwestern Symphony orchestra, various wind ensembles with the college, the Alexandria symphony orchestra, the NSU percussion ensemble, and the NSU Pep band. Mr. Belew holds professional affiliations with TMEA, TBA, the Percussive Arts Society, and is educationally endorsed by Vic Firth/Zildjan. Mr. Belew is also a life-long member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (Gamma Rho Chapter).
During his free time, Mr. Belew enjoys spending time playing video games, watching new shows/films, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and largely enjoys nerd culture. He loves honesty, positivity, cheese, and the arts.
Brian Cupp is in his 27th year as a music educator. He has been director of ensembles with numerous Excellent and Superior Ratings at UIL and Invitational events over the years.
Mr. Cupp graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK where he was vice president of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Mr. Cupp participated in ensembles including Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, University Singers, and Choir. His primary instrument is saxophone and his secondary instrument is euphonium. Mr. Cupp holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education from Northeastern State University where he served as Drum Major with the Marching Band. Before earning his degree, Mr. Cupp was a member of the Oklahoma All Star Marching Band.
Mr. Cupp started teaching in Salina, Oklahoma where he was the head director of Salina High School. He then moved to Texas and taught band in Fort Worth and Granbury before he taught at Kennedale ISD where he assisted the High School staff in leading the band to the UIL Texas State Marching Contest in 2006 and 2008. After he taught in Kennedale, Mr. Cupp became the director of bands in Maypearl ISD. Under his leadership, Mr. Cupp’s marching bands have progressed to the area level at UIL competitions. Mr. Cupp has a passion for marching band drill writing and music arranging and has honed his skills over the years. Before teaching in Corsicana ISD, Mr. Cupp taught at Ennis High School where he started the jazz program in 2017 and at Rice ISD where he served as Middle School director for one year and Director of Bands for one year.
Mr. Cupp has a passion for Jazz and has performed with the Ellis Junction Jazz Orchestra. Under his direction, Mr. Cupp’s jazz ensembles have received superior ratings at TCU and Sam Houston State Jazz Festivals.
Mr. Cupp’s hobbies include running an eBay store, gaming and watching science fiction, action/suspense media.
Mr. Cupp has five children, three grandchildren, three dogs and is married to his wife, Tracy, who is also a music educator.
Mr. Smith is entering his 5th year of teaching and his 4th year with Corsicana ISD. He instructs the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Beginner High Brass and After School Jazz Band. He also assist with Honor Band, Beginner Clarinet, Saxophone and Flute classes as well as the marching band.
He is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where he obtained his undergraduate studies degree in Music Education. His primary instrument, while attending UNT, was the piano and the trumpet with secondary flute. He was a part of many groups which include: The UNT Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and the 2 O'Clock and 8 O'Clock Steel Bands. While on campus served on the leadership of the Green Brigade Marching Band as a trumpet section leader. Towards the end of Mr. Smith’s Collegiate years, He student-taught at Krum High School and Krum Middle School.
Along with these organizations Mr. Smith Created a music program through the Oak Gardens Church within the inner-city Dallas area where the primary objective was to bring instrumental music to underprivileged youth. Upon graduation, Mr. Smith was the Assistant Choir Director for Marshall Junior High School in Marshall, Texas. During the spring semester, he was tasked with being the Head Choir Director, leading all six groups in various competitions scoring superior ratings on stage and excellent scores in the sight-reading portion. Mr. Smith holds professional affiliations with TMEA, TBA, and YBDT. Mr. Smith is also a life-long member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia (Gamma Theta Chapter).
During his free time, Mr. Smith enjoys playing piano for his church in Dallas, playing video games with friends, watching sports [Ranger, Mavericks, and Cowboys] and enjoys building computers. Mr. Smith is also a composer that writes music for bands, orchestras, and choirs. Some of his published works consist of From David's Last Stand (2023) and Chantico (2024).
Juice grew up in Mexia, TX, but graduated from Teague High School, where he marched all four years with the Mighty Teague Lion Band. After high school, he continued performing in both marching band and winter guard at Navarro College (2022–2023, 2024–present) and Tarleton State University (2023–2024). He has been privileged to march Drum Corps with The Guardians, where he served as flag captain, and with the Blue Knights currently #ageoutrageout. He is studying Theatre and Performing Arts at Navarro College and is on track to graduate with his Associate’s Degree this December. Fun fact: He's had the chance to spin flag in two theatre productions at Navarro! He has also worked with Italy High School Winter guard (2023) and Corsicana High School Winter guard (2023, 2025). He is beyond excited to help shape the next generation of spinners and can’t wait to get started! GO TIGERS!
